About Tricia Gray
I’m an author, speaker, and advocate whose heart and ministry are dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and motivating children who are, or once were, products and victims of domestic violence.
“You can rise above your circumstances to realize your true legacy.”
The Heart of the Work
My mission is deeply personal. I was raised in New Roads, Louisiana, and it was there, in 1992, that I lost my mother to domestic violence when I was just 19 years old. Like a lotus seed buried deep under dark, heavy mud, I spent years navigating the profound childhood trauma of that loss. But I chose to push through the darkness, turning deep pain into a lifelong purpose.
My true ministry is showing children that their past does not define their future. For nearly 15 years, I have stood on the front lines to give these children a voice, leading community marches for awareness and prevention. In 2012, this advocacy came full circle when I received a formal proclamation in my hometown of New Roads, Louisiana, establishing the Lotus March for Domestic Violence Day on March 24th—a day dedicated to showing children that they, too, have the power to bloom.
A Lotus Legacy
As an author, I share the raw, first-hand truth of this journey. I am the author of A Lotus Legacy, the first installment of my memoir trilogy. Through these pages, I journal about my life from elementary school to the day my mother was murdered. In the final chapter, as I stood over my mother’s motionless body, I realized I had the power to change her legacy and my own. In that exact moment, I found the strength and purpose I needed to hold my head high and go on with my life. This book is a true testament to the fact that you do not have to pass down the trauma you were given; you have the power to create a legacy of healing, strength, and resilience.
The Evidence of What’s Possible
As the CEO and Founder of Aditus Partners, I bring a wealth of expertise backed by a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration. I am also honored to be a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). My commitment to community leadership includes serving as Governing Board President for vital organizations such as the Corona Norco United Way and the Women in Health Administration of Southern California.
I leverage these hard-earned credentials for one profound reason: to serve as living proof for children that you can rise above the darkest trauma and build an exceptionally successful, meaningful life. Your history does not define your potential, and your achievements can become the foundation of a beautiful new legacy.
The Bottom Line
I am living proof that trauma does not have to be the end of your story. No matter how dark the environment around you has been, you possess the profound power to rise above your circumstances, rewrite your narrative, and step fully into our true legacy. My life’s work is to inspire, empower, and motivate children to realize that they are stronger than what they have been through—and that a beautiful, blooming future is waiting for them.
